Please Note

Opening Times

School starts at 9am sharp. Children and parents access the school through the front door.

Sos: 10.45am - 10.55am

Lón: 12.25pm - 12.55pm

School Day Ends:
Junior and Senior Infants: 1.40pm
1st - 6th Class: 2.40pm

Parking:
In the interest of Health and Safety, we would ask parents to reverse park where possible and take due care when leaving the parking area outside of the school.

Communication - Home/School Links

The school communicates with parents via email and the Aladdin app. Please ensure your contact details are up to date and inform the school if your details change.

Please do not hesitate to contact a teacher if you need to discuss an issue relating to your child. Please arrange a convenient time with your teacher via the Aladdin app.

Absences

If your child is absent due to sickness, family reasons etc. please inform the school via the Aladdin app. If a child misses 20 or more days from school, the Principal has a duty to report these absences to the National Educational Welfare Board (NEWB). When a report is forwarded to the NEWB, parents will be informed.

School Lunches

Kilnamona N.S. has a Healthy Eating Policy.

Children are encouraged to bring a healthy lunch to school.

In Kilnamona N.S. we have pupils who have food allergies- these particular allergies are communicated to the relevant class groupings for the provision of safeguarding to all pupils in our care.

All pupils have been provided with a customised recyclable water bottle, as part of our Green School work. Children are encouraged to drink water to remain hydrated throughout the day and refill their water bottles as desirable.

Our newly appointed Hot Food Provider is Carambola.

We look forward to the provision of Hot Lunches beginning again in the very near future.

AFTER SCHOOL HUB

The Afterschool Hub

The After School Hub operates from Mike McTigue Community Hall.

This service is open to all pupils of Kilnamona National School from 1.40pm to 5.40pm.

Breakfast club is also available from 7.45am to 8.45am.
